Information we collect

When you join the TOLD CHAIN mailing list, we collect your first name, email address, any optional answer you provide about how you heard about us, and the date and time of your signup.

When you create a member profile, we collect your signed-in account identifier and email address, display name, selected role, optional profile photo, optional short bio and optional website or social link. Your display name, selected role, photo, bio and link appear on your public profile; your account identifier and email address do not. A TELLER code appears only after you choose the TELLER role.

When you register interest in becoming a TOLD RUNNER, we also collect your last name, age category, the TOLD and Communication Link connected to your registration, and your verification status. For a minor, we collect the parent or guardian's name, email, relationship and consent confirmation.

When you share in a TOLD STORY feed, we store the text and picture you submit, your account identifier, public profile name, and the time you posted. Your picture, story, profile name and posting date appear publicly. Your account identifier does not.

In-site notifications record relevant account activity, the destination of the update, and whether you have read it. Your notification list is visible only to your signed-in account. Site-owner alerts are visible through qualified owner access.

Do not upload identification through the registration form. A valid form of identification is requested only during the later verification step, when the accepted options will be shown.

When a qualified owner prepares a Preview Window upgrade, we collect the selected Event, Business or Activity classification, promotion details, destination link, permission confirmations, account email and application status.

Personal sharing links are connected to the signed-in account that creates them and may preserve the preceding link in the chain. We record link openings using an anonymous browser identifier. A member can see aggregate results for their own links, including RUNNER registrations confirmed through email sign-in; individual recipient names and emails are not shown in those results. These records do not prove identity, message delivery or reward eligibility.

We also use an anonymous browser identifier to count visits, page views, traffic sources, link activity, music-preview plays and completed signups. These analytics records do not contain your name, email address or IP address.

How we use it

We use this information to manage the mailing list, member profiles and owner applications, understand which parts of the website are useful, measure conversions, review promotional classifications, send relevant TOLD CHAIN updates, prevent duplicate or misleading submissions, and maintain the security and operation of the website.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We may use service providers that help us host and operate the website. They may process information only as needed to provide those services or comply with law.

How long we keep it

We keep mailing-list and member-profile information while your participation remains active or while it is needed for the purposes described here. You may ask us to remove your information at any time.

Your choices

You may edit your member profile and remove your own TOLD STORY contribution after signing in. You may also ask to access, correct or delete your information, or stop receiving updates, by emailing toldchainhq@gmail.com.

Children’s privacy

Anyone under 13 may participate only through a parent-managed registration. Ages 13–17 require parent or guardian information and consent before activation.

Updates to this notice

We may update this notice as TOLD CHAIN develops. The effective date above will show when the latest version took effect.
