Founding-rollout status

TOLD CHAIN offers member profiles, published TOLDs, story contributions, follows, messages and personal sharing links. Members can view recorded openings and email-confirmed RUNNER registrations in My chain. Identity verification and funded rewards are still being developed.

TOLD WITH RESPONSIBILITY

Tell your experience truthfully and describe what happened. Do not post threats, harassment, private information, impersonation, knowingly false claims or targeted humiliation. People and businesses named in a TOLD can submit a response. Reports and challenges are reviewed; serious concerns can temporarily pause new sharing and RUNNER sign-ups while the original TOLD and published journey remain visible. Carrying a TOLD forward does not mean a RUNNER personally verifies or endorses each claim.

Member profiles and roles

Signed-in members may create a profile with public or private visibility before choosing whether to participate as a TELLER, a RUNNER or to decide later. Choose a name, photo, biography and external link that you have the right to use. Do not impersonate another person or organization, disclose private information or upload unlawful or harmful material.

TOLD STORY feed

Members with a profile may post a picture, a written story or both. Contributions and profile names are public. Share only material you have permission to post. Avoid private details about other people. You can remove your own contribution, and the site owner may remove contributions from the public feed.

TOLD scorecard

Optional scorecard responses express personal interest and intended actions. They do not verify claims, establish endorsement, prove a completed action or earn points. Responses are stored against a browser identifier and may be updated; they are not verified unique people.

Preview and publishing

Creating a START A TOLD preview lets you review your story before publishing. The preview itself does not publish it. Save private draft stores your work privately so you can return through My TOLDs. Publishing requires confirmation and makes the story public. Owners can return their TOLD to private draft; copies previously shared elsewhere cannot be recalled.

No ownership created

Creating a preview does not reserve a subject or create an official code. Publishing records who started the TOLD, but does not grant ownership of any person, business, activity, event, name, content or intellectual property.

Starting Your Own TOLD

A person or authorized representative may start a TOLD about themselves, their business, their activity or an event they organize. It will be identified as started by the subject so it is not presented as an independent recommendation.

Paid Preview Windows

A Preview Window is a promotional feature for a published TOLD. Before paid activation, the qualified owner must accurately classify its purpose as Event, Business or Activity, describe what it promotes and confirm authority to display the material. A Person TOLD remains a Person; the EBA classification applies to the promotional window, not the person.

Promotional content may not misrepresent its purpose, ownership, affiliation or commercial nature. Saving a classification while payment is unavailable does not create a charge, purchase or right to activation.

An Event Ticket Window may display show information and link to an organizer's external ticket provider. Unless TOLD CHAIN expressly identifies a future native checkout, the organizer and ticket provider—not TOLD CHAIN—are responsible for ticket sales, fulfilment, admission, refunds, cancellations, taxes and the accuracy of event information.

Starter for Another

A TOLD started about another person, business, activity or event will identify the TELLER as the Starter for Another. That label records the first relationship without implying ownership, authorization or endorsement by the subject.

Master and Communication Links

A Master Link identifies the permanent TOLD record. A Communication Link directs a visitor to that record and may identify the route by which it was shared. Opening either link does not automatically create an account, assign ST or SA status, or add the visitor to the chain.

Appropriate use

Do not use the website to impersonate others, misrepresent affiliations, violate privacy, infringe rights, distribute harmful content or attempt to disrupt the website.

Points and the TOLD pool

The TELLER allocation for starting a TOLD is 40 points. Picking up a TOLD TORCH records 15 points for that RUNNER registration. Choosing a role, following a TOLD or opening a link does not award points. Points have no cash value today. The TELLER allocation is separate from a redeemable balance; funded-pool rules and reward eligibility will be explained before rewards become available.

Descriptions of planned features explain the current product direction and are not guarantees that a feature, reward or launch date will be offered.
